Shobaraj is a powerful evil man who does not forgive any mistake. When his elder daughter runs away on the day of her marriage he kills his wife for hiding the story of his daughter’s boyfriend. He then goes to the boys village and kills all his relatives. When the couple hides in a police station, he sets fire to the whole station killing everyone.

Meanwhile, Raja Narasimha (Vishnuvardhan) lives with his mother and owns land and a rice mill. He is well known in his village for solving all problems in his own style and especially about his concern for helping women. At an exhibition he meets Mahalakshmi (Raasi) who is with her fiancee. Raja saves her from some rowdies who pass cheap comments on her. Later on he meets her again and saves her again from the same gang. This impresses her and she begins to have doubts about her fiancee who is from the US and only interested in money. On the day of her wedding she refuses to marry him and announces that she is in love with Raja. Just when they are about to get married, Ramya Krishnan comes to the wedding hall and shoots Raja. How all these stories are connected forms the rest of the plot.
