An actor in folk plays loves to play the role of Ravana but his wife is unhappy with this and wishes he would instead play the role of Rama. He believes that while Rama was an ideal person, in today’s world you should have many outlooks like each of Ravana’s heads. They have many arguments about this and one day she burns an important gift which was awarded to him. Angry about this, he hits her and the next morning she goes missing leaving their son with him.

Many years later, Ramanna (Shivarajkumar) is in the city looking for someone. His clue is a chain from many years back. While walking with his friend, a chain snatcher steals the chain but later loses it. So though Ramanna fights the chain snatching gang, he is not able to recover the lost chain. A little later, he sees a girl who has met with an accident (Amy Jackson) and is lying unconscious on the road. When he is about to help her, she gets up and tells him that they were conducting a social experiment. He then notices that she is wearing a chain similar to the one he lost. Though he tries to take it from her, she claims it is hers. Soon she is kidnapped by Ram (Sudeep) who is believed to be an underworld don and is busy expanding his empire. What is the connection of all these characters and stories, forms the rest of the movie…
